Notion

Connect Notion to Proliferate.

Notion is one of the integrations Proliferate ships pre-registered. Connect your account once and agents can search and work with the pages and databases you authorize, without you copying content into the chat by hand.

What agents can do with it

Once connected, an agent can look up a spec, pull details from a database, or check a doc you reference by name, scoped to whatever you approve during Notion's consent screen. Proliferate proxies these calls to Notion's own hosted tools, so the exact list of available actions comes from Notion.

Connect Notion

Open Integrations in Settings

Notion authenticates with OAuth, so there's no API key involved.

Click Connect on the Notion row

Proliferate opens your browser to Notion's authorization page.

Choose what to share and approve

Notion lets you pick which pages and databases to grant access to during the consent flow. Approve, then return to the desktop app. The Notion row updates from Not connected to Ready.

Good to know

  • Agents only see what you explicitly shared during the Notion consent screen. Sharing more later means reconnecting and granting broader access.
  • The connection is personal to your account. Teammates need to connect their own Notion account to give their sessions the same access.
  • If the connection needs re-authorizing, the row shows Reconnect required and a chip appears in the chat composer linking back to Settings.

See Adding an integration for the full connect and disconnect flow, and Pre-registered integrations for the rest of what Proliferate ships out of the box.
