Overview
Configure Proliferate defaults, secrets, preferences, and admin settings.
Configure Proliferate at the level that matches the decision.
Personal settings control how the app behaves for you: your secrets, your launch defaults, your appearance and workflow preferences. Admin settings control organization-wide policy: identity, guardrails, billing, and which agents and auth routes the whole team can use.
Everything in this section lives in the desktop app's Settings window, organized into four scopes: User, Org, Repo, and Agents. See Settings for the full map.
What belongs here
Secrets
Env vars and files agents need at runtime, at the personal, organization, and per-repo level.
Defaults
Starting points for new workspaces, agents, and per-repo setup.
Preferences
Local app behavior: appearance, editor targets, sounds, and workspace habits.
Agent configuration
Per-agent authentication, models, and launch defaults.
Settings map
Every settings scope and section, and where to find it.
Admin settings
Organization-wide policy: identity, guardrails, billing, and agent policy.
If a setting changes what every team member or every agent can do, it lives under Org settings and is documented in Admin. If it only changes how Proliferate behaves for you, it lives under User, Repo, or Agents settings and is documented on the pages above.
