Supported agents
Choose which coding agents your organization can run through Proliferate.
Proliferate runs several coding agents behind one workspace, chat, and review surface, so switching agents doesn't mean switching tools.
Agent options
| Agent | Notes |
|---|---|
| Claude Code | Anthropic's coding agent. Supports native login, a bring-your-own API key, or Proliferate's gateway. |
| Codex | OpenAI's coding agent. Same three auth options as Claude Code. |
| OpenCode | Provider-flexible coding agent that can front many model providers at once. Supports native login, multiple API keys side by side, or the gateway. |
| Grok | xAI's Grok Build coding agent. Supports native login, an API key, or the gateway. |
| Cursor | Cursor's own CLI-backed agent. Authenticates only with its own sign-in; there's nothing to configure for auth. |
Each agent shows up in Settings > Agents once it's installed, with a status badge (Ready, Needs setup, and so on) and its own Authentication and Model pages.
Settings > Agents overview
The Agents overview list: one row per installed agent, each showing its icon, display name, a status badge, and a chevron into that agent's own settings.
Use agent policy when some teams should only be allowed to use specific agents or auth routes.
