Overview

Create an organization so your team can share repositories, settings, and governance.

Organizations let teams use Proliferate together.

Create one when more than one person needs shared access to repositories, billing, agent policy, or identity settings. Everyone still authenticates their own coding agents individually (see BYO Agents & inference); the organization is what ties people, repos, and org-wide controls together.

What an organization owns

  • Members and roles. Owners, admins, and members, plus pending invitations.
  • GitHub access. The GitHub App installation that gives Proliferate workspaces access to your repositories.
  • Agent policy. Which coding agents and authentication routes members are allowed to use.
  • Single sign-on. An optional OIDC connection scoped to your email domains.
  • Billing and plan. Seats, plan tier, and usage for the organization.

Settings > Organization

The organization settings pane showing the org name and logo editor, a GitHub App installation card, the agent policy section (visible to admins), and a link into Billing.

Next: define roles, then invite team members.
